Commit to Memory: “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7 NIV)

We serve a God who delights in answering the prayers of those whose hearts are upright with Him. Infact, He takes delight in the business of turning around things for His children especially when he finds a man sold out in intercession. You want to do business with God in deep waters, then devout time, energy to pray for others. It’s for this reason we are admonished in today’s text to pray for Babylon’s well-being. Why? If things goes well for Babylon consequent to the prayers of the intercessors, then things will go well for those that interceded. Today’s commit to memory shows that intercession is a rescue weapon for the one the enemy has marked for evil and even for the one offering the prayers borne out of passion for the lost and periled. Any time you pray and intercede for others, what you are doing is that you are legislating with divinity and so you are able to abort the plans, plots, manipulations and conspiracies of the enemy thus rendering them ineffective and in the process your well being is guaranteed.

Friends, do you have a spouse? Then intercede for him or her. Are you a young man or lady? Intercede for your Parents, pray for the good of your nation. Are you a staff of an organisation? Intercede for your boss. Why? If he or she is lifted alongside the organisation; it will have a boomerang effect on your lifting. Are you a child of God? Pray for your pastor, pray for his family and well being. Why? If he feels loved and honoured from the very bottom of his heart he will bless you and I tell you the very blessings he pronounces will be honoured by God for even as many that prays for him in the secret. So pray for others, pray against the activities of darkness over communities, pray for the lifting of people, pray all manner of prayers and pray like a dying man.

Men are crying and saying when will God visit us but God is saying I am and still seeking for intercessors with burdens that will stand on the gap for men. Burdens take you to the place of intercession and remove the obstacles behind your perils. It was because of the burden the Lord birthed in the heart of Moses that took him to the wilderness for 40 years to intercede for the captivity of the children of Israel that has lingered for 430 years and for this cause there was hope to come out of slavery and eventually, the Lord delivered Israel with the cooperation of an intercessor called Moses. I pray may the Lord find you worthy and full of burdens to pray and deliver men from the captivity of satan in Jesus name.

Reflection: In the Kingdom of Light, things are not revealed in the flesh but on the mountain of intercession.
