The Help of God- Part 3

Commit to Memory: “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10 NLT)

God in His infinite wisdom and knowledge knows that as far as we put on the casing of flesh, there are things and situations that will make us afraid, discouraged, weak and down cast. It is for this reason today’s commit to memory is a word of comfort and assurance to as many who are almost giving up. The Lord is saying; in the midst of all your ills and perils “I will Help you”. Why? Everyone needs the help of God as no one is too big or small to ask or seek the help of God. What may look like help from man today may be your grave tomorrow. Its for this reason Divine help is needful in the life of a man.

Friends, do you need the help of God? Then among other things you must maintain a right standing with God by building a quality relationship with God. Focus on God, stop picking your telephone to call men as your first point of action whenever you need help, stay calm and think solutions rather than been unnecessarily angry and offending those that could be source of help to. Gods help open the door to helpers. It just will provoke other people to help. (1Chr 12:16-18). I pray for a regular user of this inspiration, in your working place you will be helped, in your finances you will be helped, in your education you will be helped and in your family you will be helped.

We can’t do and get so much because we have too many plan B’s which shows we are really not looking for the help of God. Look at Abraham, at 75 he had no child from Sarah, even Ishmael- the child of the bond woman symbolizing the help he got from Egypt didn’t last as he had to send him away. Why? The help from Egypt must go. It must cease if you must receive the help of God. And when Abraham sent Hagar and Ishmael away, the help of God sufficed in Isaac- the child of promise. Also in Genesis 40:9-14, Joseph expected help from Pharaoh’s cup bearer at least for foretelling him the restoration of his former position in prison, but that man forgot. Joseph requested for two things. First he beseeched him to think of him and show kindness to him when restored and secondly that he should mention his name to Pharaoh, yet the Cup bearer did not remember. But after some time the Cup bearer remembered. Why? Because the set time for favour and for God to help Joseph was ripe, the cup bearer remembered Joseph because the help and the intervention of God was calling for the lifting of Joseph. Does this define your present state; I pray from now on you shall not be forgotten. In the name of Jesus, wherever you have been forgotten, God will force and cause men to remember you!

Reflection: Without divine help people will forget and abandon you…
