Consecration unto the Lord- Part 2

Commit to Memory: “So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor.” (2 Corinthians 6:17 AMPC)

Consecration is the culture of every royal priest in the kingdom.  It is the way of life of the spiritual man. The authority of the believer hinges on his consecration unto the Lord thus, this makes consecration a critical component in our relationship to God and to those in the world. In other words, as true believers in Christ, the act of consecration involves our lives being a living sacrifice to Him; we are totally separated from the defilement of the world. Each day, we are to live out our lives as a “holy” and “royal” priesthood to the glory of God, for we are now God’s people (1 Peter 2:9-10). As reflected in today’s commit to memory, we will become candidates of favour and of heave at last when we make up our mind to have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness and live a life of total separation (consecration) by avoiding and running away from sin in all its colours and appeals.

For Samson in Jdgs.13:5, his consecration was that he should keep the laws of a nazarite as he was born to be a deliverer but when he began to break his consecration he became an instrument of mockery in the hands of the philistines as they plucked out his eyes and made him grind in the prison house (Jdgs.16:21). Consequently a supposed deliverer became a toy tossed about in the hands of the enemy. Before his final capture on the laps of Delilah, the Bible says when they woke him up and said to him behold the philistines he shook his body and said I will go as other times but he never knew the Lord had left him for breaking almost all the rules of a nazarite especially allowing a razor to touch his hair. I pray you will not lose your consecration such that the presence of God will depart from you in the name of Jesus.

Beloved, what has affected your consecration unto the Lord? What is your consecration unto the Lord? Are you keeping the dictates of your consecration? Is your consecration prayers such that every night without having to use the bells or alarms, God wakes you up to pray and you say I am feeling tired and return to sleep; what you just did was to postpone the arrival of your destiny manifestation. Is your consecration pattern worship? Build discipline around it and only minister unto the Lord and stop using it to entertain men. I pray the Lord will open our eyes to see and do what will help us to keep to our consecration so that we will not fail or fall by the way side in Jesus name.

Reflection: Your life is a consecrated one when you are ready at all times  to do the will of God and please Him in every circumstance…

Prayer Lines: Father take my life, my will, my moments and days and let it forever be consecrated to You.
