A Cry for Help- Part 2

Commit to Memory: “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.” (Isaiah 55:6-7).

The bible says woe is he that makes the arm of flesh his trust. Stop looking to man for help. Turn your eyes on Jesus for he alone saves and deliver from trouble. With Him alone you can make it, in Him alone you can stand and in Him alone we can find help for any and every of your life’s challenges. See the words used in today’s commit to memory: “seek… call… forsake… return.” These denote specific changes and acts that the Lord wants us to get engaged in. He wants us to look to him and him alone in the times of trouble, temptations and trials, especially when we feel all hope is gone, he can and will take care of you. Hallelujah.

Beloved, have you ever been in a dungeon such that you wished you were dead? Have you ever been so distressed such that help seemed far from your reach? Do you look around and there is none to look up to for bailout? Are you currently passing through seasons of lack, rejection and delay? Are you so frustrated such that you think all hope is lost? Are you nursing an ailment that is killing you daily and draining your finances? Are you presently going through unpleasant circumstances such that you are contemplating on a suicide? In moments like this, the Lord wants you to look to him. Why? Jesus found himself in same shoes at Gethsemane when he desired that the cup, sufferings and troubles of crucifixion was too heavy for him to bear. But one thing was clear, he cried to his father and said father let your will be done. And right away the grace to overcome the weight of separation from his father was released. I pray in same similitude the Lord will release the grace to deliver you from any and every trouble that is milking you dry today in Jesus name.

Reflection: If you want disappointment- keep looking to man but if you want help cry out to God.

Prayer Lines
