Commit to Memory: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32 KJV)

One of the best things that can happen to a believer is to be free indeed to serve the Lord. That is you are free spiritually, financially, martially etc. You are free from spiritual attacks, you are free from financial embarrassment and the likes and the truth is that only the truth can make a man free from the effect the vicissitudes of life brings. To be fully free, we must have the desire, the ability, and the opportunity to do what will make us glad for the rest of our days. No regrets. And the truth is that only Jesus- the Truth can make that possible. Little wonder Jesus said in John 8:36 that

“If the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Friends to have joyful moments for the rest of our lives and days, our sins must be forgiven, God’s wrath removed and Christ must become our supreme Treasure. Only Jesus can do that. In fact, he has already done it. He died for our sins, and thereby absorbed God’s wrath and then  he rose from the dead and is today therefore supremely precious. And he offers us that now as a free gift. Halelluyah.

But then we need to have an encounter with Jesus the Truth to access the liberty that is tied to Jesus- the Living Truth. Like Pilate we need to ask what is Truth? How can truth make you and I free? When will that be? Truth is not a right; it is a privilege. Truth is not an achievement; it is a blessing. Truth is not a discovery; it is a gift. Truth is not by education; it is by revelation. Truth is not a matter of intelligence, diligence, luck, or other natural basis; it is by gracious revelation from the Source of truth, the God of all grace from whom truth emanates. Somebody said man is not intellectually incapable of truth: he is morally incompatible with truth; he is emotionally resistant to truth; he is motivationally rebellious to truth. So friends, do you desire a life of freedom three sixty degrees, then come to Jesus today. Are you a backslider, come back home and watch Jesus the truth set your life in order. Glory to God.

Reflection: When you have the desire, ability, will power and the opportunity to do the things that calls for your destiny fulfilment and through it all it brings joy then  you are free indeed.
