Commit to Memory: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV).
Life is filled with choices with consequences either good or bad and the truth is that we have to take responsibility for the choices that we make because each one of us will give account how we spent our lives before the Lord as reflected in today’s commit to memory.
Are there ugly situations, unpleasant circumstances, a limitation that weighs you down? Is there someone in your life who you’re blaming for how things have turned out for you and how he or she is the cause of your failures? Instead of going that direction, choose to take responsibility for your life and trust that Jesus will turn your weakness into strength for His glory and for your joy.
Friends, start taking responsibility for your actions and inactions, stop the blame game, desist from pointing accusing fingers, because on the long run, you’ve got four fingers pointing to your direction to wake up and own up to your failures same way you do when you are winning. Why? You and I are responsible for our actions and inactions. Be responsible enough not just to take the credit for your victories but show courage not to blame others when the chips are down. Start taking responsibility whether directly or indirectly for your decisions, choices and even the counsels you receive. This is what makes you a man like David will say to Solomon as reflected in yesterday’s commit to memory.
Reflection: The Zenith of responsibility is accepting the reality of your choices, decisions and actions consciously or unconsciously…
Prayer Lines: Father, release upon my life the grace to accept my responsibilities and avoid procrastination.
