Where art Thou- Part 3

Commit to Memory: “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.” (Psalm 27:4 AMPC)

Where art thou is a question the Almighty is still asking today? Wherever you are, the voice of God is calling you. It is a beckoning voice, reasoning with you to restore you to a right relationship with God. God wants to know where you are so he can come to you. He has come to seek and save that which is lost.  When he finds you, he will take you to the place where he is so that you begin to live a life of heaven on earth.

Beloved, it’s the presence of God that repels the presence of the enemy. If you don’t have his presence, you cannot live a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led life. Have you left the presence of God like Adam? Have you left divine presence for things that do not satisfy, for luxury, for drugs, quest for power, women and fame etc. The Lord is asking you today where art thou? Not your location but your condition.

The bible is replete of people who encountered God in an awesome and tangible way and how they responded to His presence. Adam fellowshipped with God in the cool of the day. Now when sin slipped in, they became foreign to divine presence. What about Moses, he spent time in God’s presence at the tent of meeting and on the mountaintop and all of a sudden the Shekinah glory shone in his face. What an awesome experience it was. Isaiah saw a vision of God in the temple and he was confronted with his sin and then responded to a call to ministry. Saul of Tarsus encountered the risen Saviour on his way to Damascus and his life was eternally changed. John the Beloved, had a vision of heaven and of God as he was “in the Spirit” on the Lord’s day. Why? Because he was always dwelling and feasting in His presence. When God is looking for you, will he find you in his presence? Where art thou?

Reflection: When you become a carrier of his presence, you repel the presence of the enemy by default.
