Light me Lord- Part 2

Commit to Memory: “In Him was life and the life was the light that lighteth every man.” (John.1:4)

Jesus speaking time and again to the disciples said the Holy Spirit will show them things to come. How? By having access, knowledge and by God flooding their hearts with light of things that make for the future. And the truth is that if this access must be granted you, you must stay in his presence and engage deeply in word meditation. The more you stay in his presence, the more of God’s light shines on you. You want to be a carrier of divine presence then his light must shine on you.

Beloved, one of the characteristics of light is that it burns and shines. You want to burn for God and bring forth fruits that will defy arguments, then God must light you up. It was this Zoe life that welled up in John the Baptist so much more that the Bible says in John 5:35 that

“He was a burning and shinning light…”

What this translates to mean is that until God lights you up, you cannot burn and shine for him, neither can you influence any and every where. God has gone to great lengths to bring life to us! Jesus is our opportunity and the gateway to salvation. He is the Word of God, He communicated God’s message of life to us and He presents us to God as truly righteous because of His gift of righteousness. He has purchased us at the cost of His own life. He came that we might have abundant life; I mean the Zoe life. And I tell you when you have this life, then you can begin to burn and shine.

Friends, you become flooded with God’s light is by the word. Why? The entrance of the word gives light. Light for what? Light for knowledge, direction, wisdom, understanding, precision, influence, affluence, counsel and guidance. For God to light you up, you need the life of Jesus, no Jesus- no life. Make up your mind to accept Jesus today so that you can receive this life that will release light to make you burn and shine for the King of kings. Glory to God.

Reflection: When God lights you up, you become a light and praise to men.
