Commit to Memory: “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” (Mark 4:39 KJV)
It’s amazing that one of the names of Jesus is Prince of Peace. Why? He can calm every storm because he is a five star General on land, the air and on water. This explains why the grave couldn’t conquer him, Herod couldn’t kill him and when he died as mortal man he went to hell even without the Holy Ghost, he still made a public disgrace of principalities, powers, satan and all the forces of Hades couldn’t defeat Him. Why? After his death, his name became a strong tower for the righteous to run to for safety, his name became mighty to save and give life to the dying, his name became the only name able to save, heal and deliver. And for this reason He can still every storm in any realm. I pray for a user of this inspiration, every storm raging in your life will be stilled by the Prince of Peace himself in Jesus name.
It’s appalling, the way many Christians show and express their fears in the midst of the storm. You begin to wonder what sponsors this kind of attitude. According to today’s commit to memory storyline, we see Jesus sleeping in the hinder part of the boat on a pillow while there was a raging storm. The storm did not affect his sleep and peace because he was the Prince of Peace and had power and authority over the prince of this world. He commanded the storm when they woke him in fear and right away stilled the storm and they obeyed him. Why? Peace was just resident in him and so there was nothing, I mean not a thing to fear.
Friends, following Christ in the midst of the vicissitudes of life is difficult and there will be storms and oppositions here and there. Yet, the reality of Christ’s victory over sin and death through his own death and resurrection provides peace and courage in the midst of every storm and ugly situation that peril you. Take heart and be of good courage, not in your own abilities or will power, but in the finished work of Jesus, and I tell you all he did will be done in and through you. Shalom
Reflection: Once Jesus is in the boat of your life, no matter the raging storm, your boat will never sink.

January 16, 2021 at 7:55 amThe deciple came to Jesus during the storm and said caresth thee lord that we perish… They already started throwing blame to Jesus cos of the storm. When there is a storm in our live instead of us calling on the prince of peace to calm the storm we instead look for people to blame. We blame our pastors for not praying enough. We blame our guidance for not giving us the money for the project. We blame our teachers, mentors, parents, friends…. And when we don’t see anybody to blame, we blame God.
I pray God gives us the wisdom to know that he’s with us during the storm
