Commit to Memory: “And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws”. (Ezekiel 36:27 NIV).

We thank the Lord for the grace to see the beginning of another year today and it’s my desire that may He pour on you the fullness of his Spirit so that you will be able to achieve all He has ordained for you in the New Year. It is for this reason the song writer said that “the Spirit of God in the hearts of men is something more than gold”. For a regular user of this inspiration, right there where you are, there shall be an outpouring of the Spirit of God upon you and yours in Jesus name. We see this exemplified in Exodus 31:1-5 NLT

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I have specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts. He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze. He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft!”

Beloved, God introduced a spirit of excellence upon Bezalel. Why? It was to give him special ability and skill to devise cunning works in crafts and the like. So we see that God will grant us access to the spirit dimension of every reality that supports His interest by releasing his spirit. This explains the spirit of speed that came upon Elijah such that he outran the chariots of Ahab (1 kings 18:46). I pray may that Spirit from the Lord that will enable you successful on time and accomplish more for God in your endeavour come upon you today.

Reflection: Whenever God wants to lift a man he will introduce a spirit component of his desire to make him exceptional in such a field.

Prayer Lines

•Father, give me wisdom from on high that all I desire may support your interest.

•Father, let your ability work in me to do great and mighty things for your glory.

•Father, fill me afresh with your Holy Spirit and power that I may do your will and obey you in all my ways this year.
