Commit to Memory: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 KJV)

Power is ability to create change and do work. It is the signature of the new covenant believer. Without power the intensity of your light cannot be felt. Why? It is the power of the Holy Spirit that makes your light shine and burn. This explains why there are no noticeable impact in today’s Christianity because the power of the Holy Ghost is missing. See what Acts 4:13 says:

“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.”

What was it that fuelled this, it was power gotten by impartation and constant hunger for the deep things of God. So friends, live in such a way that others “take note” that you have been with Jesus.

Beloved, the door of salvation is at the feet of the cross- that is when you confess your sins, repent and surrender your life to Jesus. At this point you become born again with a measure of the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the truth is that many Believers will die powerless even though they might still make it to heaven but then the enemy would have dealt with them the way they dealt with poor Lazarus. But then when you make up your mind to pursue, pant, hunger and thirst for the baptism of the Holy Spirit the Door of power is opened to you which begins with the baptism of the Holy Spirit and evident by fire. May the outpouring of power come upon you today to begin to do strange acts and works for God in times like this in Jesus name.

Reflection: Your light cannot so shine before men if the power from on High is foreign to your experience.
