Failing to Plan- Part 4

Commit to Memory: “The next seven years will be a period of great prosperity throughout the land of Egypt. But afterward there will be seven years of famine so great that all the prosperity will be forgotten in Egypt. Famine will destroy the land. Have them gather all the food produced in the good years that are just ahead and bring it to Pharaoh’s storehouses. Store it away, and guard it so there will be food in the cities. That way there will be enough to eat when the seven years of famine come to the land of Egypt. Otherwise this famine will destroy the land.” (Genesis 41:29-30, 35-36 NLT)

God has a purpose for everyone, discovering it on time, saves time but fulfilling it is the very essence of life. Planning is so important that was why God gave Pharaoh the dream so that he can plan for the unfruitful years as captured in today’s commit to memory. Why? Life presents us good and evil days, rainy and sunny days, days of famine and days of plenty and the truth is that they don’t happen simultaneously. So God expects us to plan for the evil days and seasons of drought so that in turbulent times we will still be prosperous. I like the way the Message bible puts Proverbs 21:5. It says:

“Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind”

Beloved, do you have a clear sense, perspective and vision of where you are going in life? Are you headed toward that destination, are you drifting away from that destination or simply idle doing nothing? Have a plan to get there. The difference between HERE and THERE is T-Time and the linking factor is a plan. Where you are now is HERE, your desired destination is THERE , so to get there you need a well defined plan in place  to arrive on time in destiny.

Reflection: Planning always precedes success any day any time.

Prayer Lines: Father, give me the wisdom to plan timely and rightly.
