Rehoboth- Part 2

Commit to Memory: “Isaac’s men then dug another well, but again there was a dispute over it. So Isaac named it Sitnah (which means hostility)” Genesis 26:21 NLT].

As we learnt yesterday, Isaac experienced contentions, strife, and all sorts of quarrel on the fruit of his own effort. He was labouring, but it was as though it was in vain so again for the second time he left the well for the Philistines and dug yet another well. Isaac gave it a name and called the place Sitnah, which means hostility, envy, hatred, jealous, enmity or accusation. Who is it that is laying false allegation and evil accusation against you? Do you smell envy surrounding you? May God cause you to overcome. It is for this reason Jacob said of Gad in Gen.49:19 KJV

“Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.”

Beloved, God has a purpose for your life like He had a mission and goal for Isaac in the midst of all these hatred, jealousy, enmity and accusations starring at him to his face. Infact, Gen.26:14 says the philistines envied Isaac because of his great possessions but they forgot his waiting period.

Are you weighed down because people just hate you for no reason or they are irritated at your sight and envious of the kind of impact and progress you command. Today, God will deliver you from them in Jesus name. Isaac had battles to fight and trials he faced, but God made him to triumph and as the Lord lives, whatever the contentions of men, their jealousy, hostility and hatred against your life; or even false accusations against your destiny; you will triumph in Jesus name.

Reflection: To manifest the reality of the kingdom life, hold on to your convictions against all odds.
