Rehoboth

Commit to Memory: “And Isaac’s servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water. And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.” (Genesis 26:19-20 KJV).

Rehoboth means enlargement. It’s a lifelong experience where God makes room for you. Room for what? Room for profitability in labour and business, room for intimacy, room for child bearing, room for financial overflow and freedom, room for the anointing to take over cities for Jesus, room for destiny helpers, room for the will of God for you in marriage, room for influence, room for access to classified information etc. Today, the Lord will make room enough for you such that all doors of triumphs and breakthroughs will be opened continually in your direction. An epitome of Rehoboth as mentioned in the pages of scriptures is typified in Isaac.

The storyline of God making room for Isaac is recorded in Gen 26: 18-33. Isaac dug wells that Abraham had dug before in order to satisfy their flocks and family thirst. In same similitude, you sure need certain things that your family require but the needs are yet to be meant. Now when the first well was dug, as soon as the men of Isaac  saw water, the Philistines heard of it  and came right away to possess it. It was indeed a frustrating experience for Isaac and his people. But why? The philistines claimed the well belonged to them and so Isaac called it Esek and left it for them. Esek means contention; quarrel or strife. It was a difficult moment for Isacc, but he let it go- He was patient in tribulation and you know what God was watching.

Beloved, as the Lord lives, every challenging situation and appalling circumstance that is causing constant quarrels in your home and family, listen the Lord shall put out such flames. Who is that man quarrelling and always in disagreement with you over what God has given you and doing in, for and through you? Fear not, it is for this reason the scripture says in Ecclesiastes 3:14 KJV that:

“…Whatever God doeth, it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.”

Beloved, there is no man that can undo the workings of God in your life. What exactly is it that is contending with the blessings that your hands must receive and life manifest, I declare that the Lord shall make room for you and your enlargement shall begin in Jesus name.

Reflection: Stop contending with men, rather contend with God on your knees.
