Commit to Memory: “Let Reuben live and not die and let not his men be few.” (Deut.33:6)

Beloved, when a family is cursed, unless and only if something divine happens; the curse will alter the destiny of all the children born in such a family. According to our commit to memory today, it was Reuben who slept with his father’s wife that was cursed by Jacob not to excel. Though Reuben deserved to be cut off, greatly diminished and obscured, due to the curse Jacob placed on him (Genesis 49:4,) yet God will spare them, and give them a name and portion among the tribes of Israel. Glory to God.

The Bible says Sarah, Rebekah and Rachael were barren. Why? It was an evil pattern of barrenness. It was in that bloodline. For a user of this inspiration, as the Lord lives every evil pattern trending in your bloodline will exempt  you. See what Numbers 32:17-19 NLT says:

“Then we will arm ourselves and lead our fellow Israelites into battle until we have brought them safely to their land. Meanwhile, our families will stay in the fortified towns we build here, so they will be safe from any attacks by the local people. But we do not claim any of the land on the other side of the Jordan. We would rather live here on the east side and accept this as our grant of land.”

So we see here that, when the curse started working; it affected not only Reuben- the sole perpetrator of this sin but also his generations unborn as the Reubenites refused to enter the promised land with their brethren. They joined forces with their brethren to fight the enemies; they escorted them to the promise land- the land of their inheritance after which they refused to inherit the land with their brethren. The Reubenites fought for others to inherit the promise land but they themselves never entered therein. It was indeed a curse that worked but thank God for Moses that stopped the curse and I pray for a regular user of this inspiration every bloodline curse(s) working against your life is revoked and renounced in Jesus name.

Reflection: When your past was not pleasant and you do nothing but continuously live in it, your future will be plagued. Arise and pray.
