A Cry for Mercy- Part 3

Commit to Memory: “The Lord’s kindness never fails! If he had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed.” (Lamentations 3:22 CEV)

If there is one thing all men need at all times and in every sphere of life is the mercy of God. In John5:1-9, the Bible relays the storyline of a lame man by the pool of Bethesda. Now a great multitude of impotent folk was waiting for the stirring of the water and in the midst of it all, Jesus saw this lame man and then His mercy singled him out for wholeness notwithstanding there were many who were sick and periled who also needed healing. As the Lord lives, as you cry out to Him for mercy today, may His mercy justify you for the greatness that have been written about you, provoke your miracles, terminate long time problems, bring healing and wholeness and then qualify you for uncommon favour.

If you look at John 8:1-11, a woman was caught naked in the very act of adultery. So they brought her to Jesus to see what His judgement would be with the understanding that such culprit would and should be stoned to death. I believe when this woman saw Jesus, she began to weep and weep. And as Jesus stooped, all He saw was a woman crying for mercy for pardon, mercy for forgiveness and mercy not to be condemned and through it all, she found mercy by the One who wears forgiveness as a crown and seats on the mercy seat to proclaim her liberty. So we see that by the eyes of mercy, Jesus looked at her, took charge of all her accusers and reversed her death sentence. Why? She cried for Mercy. As the Lord lives, every judgement of hell to truncate your destiny as you cry for mercy – may it be overruled in Jesus name.

Why then is it needful to cry for mercy. Among other reasons, mercy will turn judgement to your favour (John 8:1-11), you will experience supernatural supplies with effortless labour (1 Sam 16:1-13). Why? Mercy makes God relate to you not on the basis of your sin but on the sight of the death of Christ blood.

Mercy said to David, it’s your turn to be king, you will not be returned. Mercy said to David, I will overturn and overrule, I will bye pass your brothers and give you what you don’t deserve and didn’t labour for. Mercy said to David- nobody must sit until you arrive and be crowned king before your critics. For a user of this inspiration, as you cry for mercy- the things you don’t deserve, the God of all mercies will supply your deepest needs.

Reflection: You are alive today not by your efforts but by the mercy of God. Cease not to cry to Him for mercy daily.
