Commit to Memory: “Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.” Psalms 86:17 NIV
In life there are three categories of people in respect to remembrance: There are those who are forgotten by all, even by their loved ones and children. There are those who are always remembered for destruction and failure by the enemy and then, there are those who are remembered for good by the Lord. As the Lord lives going forward, may this last category be your lot this season in Jesus name.
To be remembered in this light means to be visited with help from above such that you begin to experience joy untold and receive unlimited supplies, good news and supernatural push. Testimonies on the other hand according to our commit to memory today are signs of God’s Favour in the life of a Believer. They are dividends of the Christian life, living proofs of divine remembrance, good news and pleasantness of the Lord and the doings and works of God visible in the life of such a Believer and are echoed by the mouth of others. The Message Bible puts today’s commit to memory this way:
“Make a show of how much you love me so the bullies who hate me will stand there slack-jawed, As you, God, gently and powerfully put me back on my feet”
What David was saying in this prayer he offered was that the Lord should be so gracious to him such that He would make him an extension of His blessings and goodness, a bundle of testimonies, an epistle of His goodness and a life that portrays all pleasantness of life and godliness so that all his enemies will be arrested by it, and be intimidated at been hostile to a man so marvelously helped by the Lord.
Like David who has forgotten you in the bush of life, for a user of this inspiration may the Lord remember you for good with dumbfounding testimonies.
Reflection: Don’t be afraid, don’t be discouraged. God is working behind the scene, when He’s through He’ll make you what He wants you to be.
Prayer Lines: Father, in the order of David- make a show of how much you love me and show me high favour.
