Commit to Memory:  “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”  John 12:24 KJV.

Apostle Paul in the Epistles attested to the truth that death ended the dispensation of the law as the death of Christ paved the way for forgiveness to him a chief sinner and persecutor of the saints else he would have been killed outrightly. When you become crucified with Christ, you become alive in the spirit unto God and so you don’t set your heart and affections on things of the earthly realm anymore. What happens at crucifixion is that your fears, sicknesses, pains, sorrows etc are gone and nailed to the cross, the old man is mortified so that the new man- the real you (the you in you) can rule and reign.

Friends, do you desire to do so much and go far with and for God? You must make up your mind to die spiritually; Mark 15:20 says

“And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.”

You want to live a glorious, victorious and fulfilling life? You must make up your mind to die daily.  A song writer wrote: “This world is not my home, I am just passing through…” with this in mind, you must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. When you become dead to self, sin has no more power over you as it becomes your servant and the grace of God quickens and strengthens your weakness in conformity to the will of God.

Friends, do you know that your degree of brokenness, surrenderedness and spiritual death is what distinguishes possibilities among men and this is a pointer why somethings are possible with some believers and impossible with others.

The commit to memory relays that except you die, you cannot experience abundant life and fruitfulness. What this transcends to is that when Jesus died- you died, and while in the grave- you were buried with him in baptism and during this period- there was a heart transplant and then when he rose- you rose with him and became convicted by the Spirit and converted by confession. Hallelujah.
