Stay Strong Help is on the Way- Part 2

Commit to Memory: “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] (John 16:33 AMPC)

Life presents us with diverse challenges that come in all shapes and sizes in different seasons. It’s in such moment we must draw strength from the Lord. Paul said we learn trust when we go through despair. Why? Trials and temptations test not just our patience and inner strength, but our belief systems. These tough times can be difficult, but surely they don’t last because the Lord has promised He will be with us no matter the boisterous storm.

Friends, are you facing the worst of times with no one to defend you? Have you lost a loved one who was a source of inspiration and help to you? Have the vicissitudes of life taken life out of you?  I bring you good news, there’s help and hope in the word of God. Acts 3:19-20 NLT says

“…Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord…”

The Bible says times of refreshing shall come from the presence of God. So to stay strong in troubled seasons: repent and return to God, stay put in Divine presence, plan ahead, get informed; develop your skills, keep companies that make you hunger and take you to the presence of God. It is for this reason Isaiah 35:4 NIV says

“Say to those with fearful hearts, Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

In today’s commit to memory, Jesus offers certain hope that transcends the temporal sorrow and sufferings the world throws at Believers. Life is tough and the Christian life is even tougher such that Jesus himself guaranteed it. How? Instead of promising to eliminate trouble from our lives, Jesus instead promises to give us rest, peace and comfort in the midst of trouble. He knew that a time will come when we‘ll contemplate to give-in to the pressures and vicissitudes of life. In such moments the Lord wants us to be comforted with his word that through it all we will overcome. All will be well and end well. Why? Whatever is born of God overcomes the world. I pray the grace to stay strong and victorious in pain the Lord will release upon you in Jesus name.

Reflection: Trials, temptations and pains teaches us how to trust  and rely on God…

Prayer Lines

•Father, help me to solely rely and trust You.

•Father, I rejoice and declare victory amidst the storms I face today in the name of Jesus.
