Commit to Memory: “… Israel … shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.” (Hosea 14:5).
The Hebrew word for Lebanon simply means “Whiteness”. God demands our daily purity in all we do. He wants us to be purged and cleansed from every known and unknown sin reigning in our mortal bodies. Infact, your approach to your spiritual life determines whether you are a cedar tree or a pine. The way you ensure that you are of the highest-quality spiritual material is through your complete daily obedience to God’s law and His government.
Friends, as a cedar tree of righteousness, God desires us to daily work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. It is a very serious matter. We must move on to the righteous side. We must be faithful in whatever we do and has been committed to us and not shaken by anything. You want to flourish like the cedars of Lebanon, be bold and courageous, speak and do righteously, pattern your life to read the word of God, pray, stay in His presence and be a true witness for Jesus. It’s for this reason the Bible says the Righteous is as bold as a Lion. So when the lion wakes up in the morning, the first thing it does is to roar. Why? To pronounce his presence in the jungle and to create his fear in the mind of all animals around. No wonder the Bible says the lion is the king of the jungle and turneth not away from any foe.
Reflection: Pressures and trouble is one way and process God uses in working out the future glory for His own.
Prayer Lines: Father, release upon me the grace to keep my garment white till I see You in Glory.
