Commit to Memory: “So put on all the armor that God gives. Then when that evil day comes, you will be able to defend yourself. And when the battle is over, you will still be standing firm.” (Ephesians 6:13 CEV)

Life presents us with days. This explains why God reckons with us in days and not years. In Psalm 90:12, David by the inspiration of the Almighty said

“Teach us to number our Days that we might incline our hearts unto wisdom”.

Today’s commit to memory implies that there is an evil day for every man and as such we must ensure we are fully kitted with the full armour as a soldier of Jesus Christ. We must be kitted with righteousness on the chest, faith on the left hand, the sword of the spirit on the right hand, salvation as an helmet on the head, the mask of the Lion of Judah on the face to scare the enemy, firmly kitted with belt of truth on the waist, the cloak of zeal as a garment, the gospel of salvation as a shoe, the buckle of prayer for warfare etc. This is because the evil day is the day or days when it seems you are working under a closed heaven when all the arsenals of hell breaks loose against you; it’s when the doctor suddenly gives you a hopeless medical report that troubles your mind, it’s when you are bombarded with challenges from every side such that there is no direction of favour or help, it’s a time when it seems you are all alone in the dark with no ray of hope or solution. In such moments, the Lord is saying with His armour fully kitted on us , most assuredly we can overcome.

Friends, everyone you know may have deserted you in your peril, you may have lost a whole lot, but God remains the reason why you have not lost everything and here this the tough times is to make you develop thick skin and not to swallow you. Jacob said to Gad that a troop was going to overcome him but at last he will overcome and surely it happened according to the prophecy of the patriarch- Jacob. Today may you prevail over every ranging storm in times like this.

So we see that there are days and there are days, there are good days and evil days, days of lack, days of rejection, days of tears, days of debts, days of delays and days of pain. But in the name of Jesus every kind of evil day(s) that has beclouded your glory is hereby declared over. Why? The Lord is bursting doors of good days and God days for you going forward. Your evil days are over now! Glory to God

Reflection: Through it all, evil may have its hour but God will have His day…
