Waiting on the Lord- Part 3

Commit to Memory: “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” (Isaiah 40:28-29 KJV).

In today’s commit to memory, the storyline says only the Everlasting God is never weary, this means that every mortal will go weary but when we wait on God, the Bible says we too will become like God and not wearied. Only God sustains the ability never to faint, in same similitude when we wait on God, we too will not faint. You become a God among men when you have the skill set and burden of waiting.

Beloved, are you feeling spiritually, mentally or physically weak at the moment? The requisite strength that will help you find courage, peace and rest within and around you to face your world is generated when you wait on God. Look at the people who are in bondage all around you. They are obsessed, depressed, possessed, suppressed, oppressed, broken, hurting, and desperate under demonic influences. Psychologists cannot help them, nor can psychiatrists. God’s Word says that this kind won’t even come out by a simple command in the name of Jesus Christ- they do not come out except through prayer and fasting. So we must realize that this is what the Lord is asking you to do to draw spiritual power and contact Pentecostal fire.

Friends, that compelling power that will make any and every thing work in your favour is Waiting. When was the last time you waited on God? Infact, one advantage usually underutilized by Christians is waiting. Go into your closest, make it a conscious effort, keep away from whatever that could pose as distractions, be sincere to yourself, pray, chant, make a melody in your heart to God, sing songs of praise, worship, hymns and spiritual songs to God and watch the finger of God manifest in your life as He will begin to pour Himself into your needs. Glory to God.

Reflection: It’s better to wait on God and have things fall into shape, than to rush  and have things fall apart.

Prayer Lines: Father, make me like you never fainting or wearied.
