Commit to Memory: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)
Everyone of us has on the inside of us a piece of good news and the good news is that you can never know how great you can be or ever be until your potentials are maximized for the good of all. Do you know that anytime God looks inside of us, He doesn’t see the failures of the past, but rather the potentials crying for relevance. In fact, even when we don’t believe God’s ability in us, all He sees and would always see is that again and again He sees potentials in us we’ve never seen or didn’t even know we have. I like the way the Amplified Classic Edition of the Bible puts today’s commit to memory. It says:
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
Beloved, refuse and make it a must not to add to the wealth of untapped potentials in the graveyard. You owe it to the next generation to live courageously so that the treasure of your potential is unleashed. The world needs what God deposited in you for the benefit of innovations, discoveries and generations to come. No wonder Peter said in 2 Peter 1:5-15 MSG that
“You must not lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given…”
Friends, you can accomplish the vision you saw. You can build that business you planned. You can develop that school you imagined. You are the only one who can stop you. No matter the environment you find yourself, no matter the colour of your skin, you have the ability to change your attitude, alter your altitude and your internal environment until they are conducive to the germination of your potential seed. For a regular user of this inspiration, may the Lord release on you the grace to help you understand and appropriate the principles necessary for releasing your potential in Jesus name.
Reflection: Living with ability creates responsibility, dying with ability reveals irresponsibility.
Prayer Lines: Father, release the grace to help me fulfill the purpose I was born.
