Commit to Memory: “Jesus answered, I am the…TRUTH…”(John 14:6)
One of the names of the resurrected Christ is Truth. He is called the Truth- The living truth. Why Truth? Truth is ageless and unchanging. It reveals the originality of any and everything. The truth is the word of God. It was for this reason Jesus said in John 17:17 (NIV)
“Sanctify then by the truth, your word is truth.”
So we see that if it is truth it makes men holy. If it is truth, it creates a craving for divine encounter, if it is truth, it makes for the liberation of men. If it’s truth, it cannot be covered it will definitely be revealed someday. How and why? Jesus the truth was buried, the soldiers sat upon the tomb watching day in and day out; but after three days the truth came out of the grave. Beloved, stop hiding the truth, stop falsifying records, stop lying, stop covering the truth as time is a revealer of the truth. If it’s truth it will expose whatever is hidden. It will expose darkness because the truth is in Jesus. And the good news is that Jesus is the truth who burst open the grave after three days to prove to us all that there is nothing covered that will not be revealed someday as its just a matter of time.
Friends, Truth is sincerity, it is reality, for lies are vanity. Little wonder we can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. Truth is the foundation of faith; you want your faith increased, grow in the knowledge of the truth. It is in the truth we can find rest for our souls. That’s why its dangerous to walk in darkness by living a life of falsehood. Listen, whenever you pervert, manipulate or turn from the truth, there lies the consequence of the overthrowing of your faith. Truth must be proven to be truth, held very tight, guarded and then all other opinions rejected. For a regular user of this inspiration, may the truth that was in Jesus find expression in your life today and watch your life ascend from glory to glory.
Reflection: Any time you wander away from the path of truth, you find your place in the congregation of the dead.
