Commit to Memory: “Who told you that you were naked? The Lord God asked….” (Genesis 3:11 NLT)
Have you ever wondered why the Bible says “say to the righteous it shall be well with him?” One profound reason is because as far as the righteous is concerned you will have tribulation, you will pass through the troubled waters and fires of life. Infact, the devil will make you feel you are going to always have a bad day. But in moments like these, your confession should and always be positive, you confess the report of the Lord. And that report is let the weak say I am strong, let the poor say I am rich, let the one drowned say he is lifted and let the depressed, helpless and hopeless say he is rescued and it is well with his soul. Why? These words are not just comforting but are words of faith and are so powerful that they attract the creative ability of God in the lives of those that believe and confess them.
In today’s commit to memory, after Adam had eaten of the forbidden fruit the Lord commanded him never to eat along side his wife. The Bible says they heard the voice of the LORD walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and right away, they hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. There and then the LORD called unto Adam, and said, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And the question the Lord replied arose, Who told you that you are naked? (Genesis 3:8-11). In other words, God was saying to Adam and even to you today: where did you get that negative report? Who gave you this report that contradicts my covenant with you? How did you hear it? When did you hear it? Who brought it to your consciousness? The report I have of you and about you is that when and after I created you, “You were very good”. Hallelujah. I like you to say it to yourself “I am very good, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”.
Beloved, just like satan did to Adam, he has given a lot of false, negative and evil reports to men just to drift them away from God’s plan and purpose. I pray for a user of this inspiration that every report that contradicts God’s plan and purpose for your life shall fail on arrival. So press the delete button and get rid of reports that bring you pain, that make you cry and doesn’t bring out the best in you. Stop reading and listening to such reports. As you here reports that contradicts who and what God says you are, don’t argue, be at peace, as it passes through your left ear let it go through the right ear. Never allow the opinions of others define how you see yourself but let God’s word do that and watch your life on a continuous rise.
Reflection: Your lifestyle is a product of your belief and the report you believe determines what you say and do.
Prayer Lines: Father, I declare null and void every report that contradicts your promises for life in the name of Jesus.
