Commit to Memory: “Rejoice in hope; be patient in tribulation; continue instantly in prayer.” (Romans 12:12).
In today’s commit to memory, the Apostle says to us that we are to be “patient in tribulation.” The word which is translated “tribulation” means a pressing together, pressure, it refers to oppression, it typifies to be crushed, pressed, squeezed, stressed, afflicted, burdened, distressed and troubled. It teaches us that the nature of affliction and tribulation is that it is a pressure which is applied to us, which is exerted against us. Having tribulation is like having a great burden pressed down upon us. Tribulation is sometimes painful and can make a man miserable but through it all we must learn to lean and depend on God.
God strengthens us in tribulation. It is true that the vision, l mean that burning desire the Lord has given unto you is yet to see the light of day; wait on God, don’t be agitated, wait for the promise it will surely come to pass. Stop pondering over the wrongs and negative pronouncements of men over you. Listen, it’s their assumption, don’t let the assumption of men weary and cripple you. They were wrong to have concluded that nothing good could come out of your life. Stay focused and hold on to God.
Friends, to be candid patience is easy to lose. In fact when we lose patience most of the time we are on the edge of giving up. Have you tried all you can to find an head way in life yet it seems as if God hates you. Listen when you are patient in tribulation, you will not walk away but remain consistent in prayer. So God wants us to be unwavering. How? In the midst of tribulation and the darkest nights of your life, God wants us to find solace in him. It’s for this reason He is called The Refuge from the storm. In such moments He expects us to look to Him and cry for his mercy and I pray May He come to your rescue today in Jesus name.
Reflection: Jesus is the lifeline in the midst of tribulation we can run to.
