The Manufacturer’s Manual

Commit to Memory: “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.” (Psalms 119:103-104 NIV)

For every product produced by a manufacturer, it usually will come with a manufacturer’s manual. Sometimes this manual might be a leaflet or a handbook containing instructions on how to use the product enclosed. And failure to read and digest this manual could lead to abuse of the product. In same similitude, the Almighty God who is the greatest manufacturer of all time has a manual of instructions for mankind. These instructions comprises of promises, commands, dos and don’ts etc. And so to enjoy the manufacturer’s product, you must follow through with the instructions as written in the manufacture’s manual. And this manual is the Holy Bible.

Friends, how often do you read your Bible? Is it only on Sundays? Do you even have a hard copy of the Holy Bible? Do you derive joy reading or studying the holy book? Get and use a Spirit inspired devotional online or offline today. Beyond reading is to study, meditate, do and teach. Our Reference- Jesus was always in the habit of doing that which is written therein. The Bible says He went about doing good. In fact the Bible says in Acts 1:1 that

“Jesus began both to do and teach”

Our Saviour was always doing the word before teaching the word and not the other way round. When was the last time you read and followed the instructions as laid down in the manual of life? For those and as many that will heed to it, the Bible says they are life to those that find them and health to all their flesh. Today’s commit to memory says if we stay put in the word, it will cause us to gain understanding and therefore we will detest every wrong path. This means that our distraction ends and the dividend of the abundant life in Christ starts when we find solace in the living word.

Reflection: We walk into life ills when we detach ourselves from the arsenal of the Word.

Prayer Lines:

•Father, let your word guide and direct me now and always.

•Father, help me to be a doer of your word in all circumstances.
