Commit to memory: “Jesus answered, It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”(Matthew 4:4 NIV)

The storyline of today’s  commit to memory portrays the first temptation of our Lord and saviour Jesus. Its interesting to see that the devil tempted Jesus- the last Adam with food which he also use as a bait to tempt the very first Adam but thanks be to God as we see that Jesus overcame unlike Adam and because he overcame, you and I will and can overcome in every fix we find ourselves. And so we see that Jesus overcame because he knew what was written and it became flesh in him.

What is it that is written about you? Do you know it? Has it become flesh in you? Do you know that God’s word is a compendium of rich and great promises that has been written about you and the truth and question is that, do you know what God has written about you in the pages of scripture?

Many years ago I normally will pray every prayer points that is said in church and meetings I go, infact there’s no major program and mountain I hardly did not visit to seek and find the power of God in Western Nigeria, but today the story has changed because of more understanding and insight of God’s word has it concerns what I have discovered is written concerning me. Why? If you know what is written concerning you there are some prayers you will not waste your time to pray, there are some vigils you will not keep, there are some things that have become a religious routine in your life that you will stop by default, you will stop running up and down, infact you will become a prophet of yourself, speaking what has been written concerning you in the word upon your life. Hallelujah.

Reflection: If you don’t know what is written concerning you; your life will be written off.
