Commit to Memory: “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you” (James 4:8).

Drawing near to God starts in the heart. If we come to God with that same desire to know him, he will draw near to us. You do not need to be an advanced Christian, a super-saint or a deep Bible student to draw nearer to God. The newest saint and the weakest believer may know God’s presence if there is a desire to approach God.

Several years ago I heard the question put this way, “If God feels far away from you, who moved?” It’s never the Lord. Until we know and dwell in his presence, we cannot feel his pleasure if we truly want it. He will draw near to you if you draw near to him. It’s as simple as that.

Friends, your spiritual life should be an issue for you, it should matter to you if really you desire lifting and the truth is that until your soul prosper you really cannot proper physically. God is calling for intimacy this year. Listen if you pay attention to your spiritual life more than ever before, you will be helped and assisted by God. It is for this reason the Holy Ghost is called a Helper. Why? He helps all those whose hearts are stayed on God and  when God backs you, you must succeed it doesn’t matter what the odds are. I like you to confess this and say “I take my spiritual life serious more than never before so help me God”.
