Preparing for the Future- Part 5

Commit to Memory: “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?” (Luke 14:28 NLT)

Preparation remains the mother of breakthroughs. God cannot work with men who fail to prepare. His hands are tied any time he finds a man who has no plan in place. Anyone that must build a tower must first of all sit down and count the cost. In other words prepare a budget of the cost implication of all it entails from start to finish of his or her enterprise. Why? There is a cost for every enviable future you see and you will only enter into the experience of your preparation.

Friends, how often do you prepare. A life that fails to prepare for the future will face any and everything that the future presents and the truth is that forces are always fighting against the unprepared life. It’s for this reason we see that Jesus will prepare for thirty years for a ministry that spanned three and half years.

Beloved, do you know that any and everything without exception you see working, there is always somebody somewhere, somehow working it out and making things happen. So if you want to make things happen, prepare; again I say prepare. Prepare for rainy days, prepare for the dry seasons, prepare for your exams, prepare for the storms. Prepare! Prepare!! Prepare!!!

Reflection: You will never see or enter into the experience of a future you didn’t prepare for.

Prayer Lines

•Father, prepare me for exposures that will change my life.

•Father, make me a worthy reference of a prepared and productive life.
