The Wilderness Experience

Commit to Memory: “So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.” (1 Peter 1:6 NLT).

Beloved, there is great  joy at the end of the tunnel if you will endure your dark moments that life presents you,  your faith in God will be tried just as gold must pass through fire so that you will remain strong and immovable to be able to weather the storms of life. Deut.8:2 NLT says

“Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.”

Friends, you need to understand that the wilderness experience is for a season. It is not to make you go wild but grow wide. There exist certain character flops in your life that will not go out unless you go through the wilderness. Infact, there are some heights that you can only attain and sustain by the wilderness experience of your past. If you attain such heights by favour, because you lack the experience and character of the wilderness, you definitely will crumble and fall. This explains why many Christians are up today and down tomorrow. Why? Because there is no wilderness experience in their life’s exodus. So the right prayer to pray will not be God I don’t want the wilderness experience, but pray that in every wilderness experience, that God should see you through. May the Lord release and sustain you with the grace to endure in difficult moments in Jesus name.

Reflection: The wilderness experience is the ladder every leader headed for a glorious destiny must climb.

Prayer Lines

•Father, lead me through the nights of my wilderness seasons in life.

•Father, in every dark valley I have found myself, see me through.
