The Rising of Men- Part 3

Commit to Memory: “So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.” (Hebrews 10:23 AMPC)

In the kingdom, the way up is down- we rise by service. It is for this reason the bible says in 1 Corinthians 4:2 that

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

The new living translation version of the bible puts it this way “Now a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.”

Stop blaming people; be intentional and faithful in your approach to things around you. Know that whatever has been committed to your care is by privilege and you will give account some day, so do it diligently, selflessly and faithfully. The Bible says David led Israel with the integrity of his heart, no wonder till date he enjoyed mercy like no other in bible history.

Today’s commit to memory in clear terms says “faithful is he who has promised and faithful is he that will do that which he has promised.” But to be a partaker of the blessing and favour on all sides you turn- be faithful, do your best to be faithful in little and allow God to prepare you for greater things. Be faithful with your spouse, be faithful with people’s money in your care, forbid things to collapse in your custody, work smartly and hardly and don’t let things die in your hands, give your responsibilities and assignments your maximum undivided attention, divine push in prayers, your physical presence, time, money and sacrifice and watch God in turn faithful in his promises to you, be faithful in whatever you do- do it well and wholeheartedly unwavering wherever you go, I mean be faithful in that business that has been entrusted and committed to your care. Be faithful with your words, let your yes be yes and your no be no.

Beloved, there are and will be a lot of things that will want to make you waver but today’s commit to memory says hold on without wavering. Don’t change your confession; keep confessing what God says in his word about you. God is Faithful to whatever he says and he will do for you according to his words if he finds you faithful. Moses worked as a shepherd for forty years. But then why was he a shepherd for so long? He was a shepherd for so long a time because God was preparing and orchestrating him for a greater assignment and he needed several and diverse experiences. God was preparing him to one day lead His people to the Promised Land. Moses was faithful in little and God increased him on all sides. I pray the Lord will find you faithful in that which he has committed in your charge.

Reflection:  Any time God finds faithfulness in your life, you move his hands to release his blessings and his face to show you high favour.
