Commit to Memory: “The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.” (Proverbs 3:33 NIV)
Beloved, it is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow, that is why you must make it a point of duty for your home to be at peace with the Lord so that you can attract and swim in His blessings. It is for this reason the devil keeps fighting homes. Why? He wants to foster disunity, hatred, comparison, competition, pride, lies, dishonesty, distrust and the likes.
Friends, there are things that attract the blessings of God to begin to flood and work in a home. Profound among these is faithfulness. Why? Faithfulness is a mandatory requirement in stewardship. You may want to ask how does this concern you? God demands faithfulness from you if you so desire the blessings of God at work in your home and family.
The quest for faithfulness is a serious issue that has destroyed and packed up many marriages today. It is for this reason the Bible says in Hebrew 13:4 NLT
“Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.”
You begin to wonder how does this concern you. I like us to be true to ourselves this morning and answer these questions. How faithful are you to your marital vows? How faithful are you to keeping one wife? Have you all of a sudden caught yourself lusting, wishing and desiring another woman or man who you are not in a covenant by marriage with? Repent today so that the Lord’s blessings can rain and overflow in your home else the Lord sees unfaithfulness as wickedness and will therefore curse such a home.
Reflection: When you give peace a chance in your home, love will reign and rule over your relationship and marriage.
