Commit to Memory: “My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.” (Isaiah 32:18 NIV).
Beloved once you become born again– you are no longer a slave to the devil or a victim of circumstance, you are now a blessed covenant child of God. What this means is that the ills and perils that destroy others can not affect you but will work for your advantage. Halellujah. Profound among these promises and blessings is that your home will be peaceful, secured and devoid of restlessness.
Friends, there is a cost to pay for a joyful home. There is a price to pay to see the kingdom of God which is righteousness, peace and joy radiate in our homes. Prominent among these but not limited to these are selfless commitment to your marital vows and union, a burning desire to care, be patient, minding your business, make provision, show love, defend the interest of your spouse at all times especially at downtimes, watch each other’s back and then making sure that God is the cord and at the center of the union holding the couple and family firmly together.
Beloved, how come you are very good in the provision for another home while your home is begging and crying for your provision? Watch it. It is good to admire the good in the union of others but strive to give attention and fix the required lapses finding expression in your home. It is for this reason the Bible says anyone who fails in the provision for his home and family is worst than an unbeliever and as such has denied the faith. May the Lord make us wise in this area in Jesus name.
Reflection: Whatever you can live without is not a priority to you. You want your relationship or marital union to work then among many things God must be the number one priority in your home.
