Misrepresenting Christ

Commit to Memory: “For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world…” (2 Timothy 4:10 NKJV).

Beloved, God wants us to adopt his value system so that His word will govern everything about us and most especially, guide our decisions. You cannot claim a follower of Jesus without visible proofs of his nature and character manifesting in you. Are there areas in your life that you find yourself keep betraying Jesus on a daily basis the Lord wants you to repent today. Whatever we become and want to be must of necessity be and look like Christ. You must represent Jesus in your character. 1 John 2:23 ESV says:

“No one who denies the Son has the Father…”

Beloved, what is that area of your life that you are denying Jesus daily? Can you be trusted with money? Can people trust their spouse and children with you and yet be at peace? Is Jesus glorified in your life in the office front? How faithful are you as it concerns the business of others in your care? Which area of your life are you misrepresenting Christ on a daily basis? May the Lord show mercy in Jesus name.

Demas was a co-labourer with Paul in the Gospel Faith (Philemon 1:24). He once followed and lived for the Lord Jesus Christ. But along the line, something went soar, such that Paul expressed his honest concern of how Demas has deserted him and abandoned the faith he once preached for the mundane things and vicissitudes of this world. De just couldn’t look away from all the simile side attractions satan brought his way to distract his service with the Lord. I pray for a user of this inspiration, may whatever that will take your gaze away from following Jesus never befall you in Jesus name.

Reflection: If it is only in Christian circles that your light is visible, then you have not so learned Christ.

Prayer Lines

•Father, help me to hate the things you hate and love the things you love.

•Father, give me the grace to represent you well in all I do, become and anywhere I go.
