The Spirit of Egypt- Part 3

Commit to Memory: “And Pharaoh said, I will let you go… only ye shall not go very far away…” (Exodus 8:28 KJV)

There is a spirit that keeps men in bondage; there is a spirit that fights the destiny of people from making headways in any and every sphere. It is the spirit of Egypt. Typologically speaking, Egypt is the world manipulated by the devil while Pharaoh is a type of satan whose principal assignment is to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). He is always in the business of keeping God’s people enslaved in captivity to the world.

Beloved, what is that problem that has kept you in Egypt? There is really on the long run no help in Egypt but bondage, delay and unproductive wasted years. Why? In Egypt there is a strong man called Pharaoh who will not allow you go and even when he does- he will not allow you go very far (Exodus 8:28). He just sees you as his slave, but for a user of this inspiration as the Lord lives: Every strongman that represents Egypt in your life shall lose their grip off you and let you go in the name of Jesus.

Pharaoh said you can go, but not very far- that is the spirit of Egypt. The spirit of Egypt keeps people under perpetual bondage. It will allow you to go to school, but not gainfully employed. It will allow you to even get married but unable to rear children. It will keep you in hard labour but with little or no reward for your tireless efforts. Pharaoh will manipulate and cause you to invest huge with borrowed resources for your business just for your returns to end in colossal losses that will keep you indebted for a life time. As the Lord lives, every spirit of Egypt at work in your life expires by fire today in Jesus name.

Reflection: The only reason the enemy does not want you to go very far is so that he can monitor your progress and bring you back to captivity.

Prayer Lines

•Father, by your finger in my life, let me go very far in all you have destined for me.

•Who is it that have said I will not go very far, in the name of Jesus go down for my sake.
