Commit to Memory: “…His fame spread everywhere, and he became very powerful because of the help he received from God.” (2 Chronicles 26:15 GNB).

There is an invisible divine help from the Almighty called Marvellous Help. It’s not just a help that ends with mockery. Listen, when man gives you help be rest assured that he will talk about it to the whole world. Infact, man by his nature when he discovers you are becoming a treat to his greatness will begin to look for means to pull you down. It was for this reason Abraham declined the gifts, goods and possessions from the king of Sodom lest he say some day he made Abraham rich and take the glory that belongs to God (Gen.14:21-23).

That is a glimpse of the nature of man. They help you because they want to control your life, they help you because they want you to begin to worship and sing their praise, but the Almighty God is not like that. No matter how worst and terrible your situation, He is the Hope of the hopeless and the Help of the helpless. He is called Ebenezer- “The Stone of Help” (1 Sam.7:12). The King James Version of our commit to memory for today puts it this way concerning king Uzziah:

“…And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.”

When God decides to help you, he will do so until you succeed and then he will ensure that your success is sustained in Him such that no mortal or enemy can bring you down. When this happens, whatever you lay your hands to do begin to prosper and experience ease and effortless results and breakthroughs. Hallelujah.

Reflection: To be successful in all spheres, beyond skill, diligence and commitment- you sure need the Help of the Almighty.
