Commit to Memory: “Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My Father, thou art the guide of my youth?” (Jeremiah 3:4 KJV)
Father means source, sustainer, provider, protector, supporter and founder. This is what God represent in the life of a Believer. The greatest revelation a man can have is to have the revelation of God the Father. It’s so important as it places you at the top in every life adventure.
The reason Jesus was killed was that he said that God was his Father. The Jews saw it as the height of blasphemy. The Almighty God has actually in several times and even now stretched forth his hands for salvation, healing and blessings. He said in Isaiah 65:2
I have stretched forth my hands all day long…
To who and for what? God is stretching his hands to sinners for salvation, to the oppressed for deliverance, to the sick for healing, to the weak and hopeless for Help and to Believers for guidance and supplies. So here comes the question. You may be wondering how can you be on the side of God and have him as your Father. Among many things first thing first, first thing matters. You must place premium on your personal relationship with God. Build a personal altar with Him. How? Have a time and place where you meet with God as a routine, start with morning devotion and grow it to night time prayers. The bible says Jesus will spend the night time in Prayers. What was he doing: He was preparing Himself and generating power and strength of all kinds. No wonder when he returned from the mountain of night prayers all men sought for Him. His relationship of God as His Father made him too relevant to be ignored by the High and mighty. Friends, the best connection you can ever have that will make hell to tremble at your presence, and make you an influence in many matter is to have God as Father.
Reflection: You don’t need a godfather when you have God the Father.
