The Desperate Cry

Commit to Memory: “…You who [are His servants and by your prayers] put the Lord in remembrance [of His promises], keep not silence,” (Isaiah 62:6 AMPC)

There are so many things that bring God to action. To get certain interventions, you must lose your temper with the enemy and make sure you cry aloud to the Lord for immeasurable breakthroughs.

True revival would only come, if we become serious with God. If really you care so much about a change in your life then you should be willing to cry out in prayer for help. You wouldn’t just pray casually, shortly or politely but spend quality time in the night in sackcloth, recognize your weaknesses and inadequacies, humble yourself before the Lord in a fast, tell God how deteriorated the condition of your life has become and that it is for one of these reasons you are crying for help in the spirit of prayer and humility.

In Luke 18, Jesus gave a story of a persistent widow and a wicked judge. See what the judge said in Luke 18:5 AMPC

“Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or at the last she come and rail on me or assault me or strangle me.”

Are you preoccupied and busy with personal pleasures? Do you seem blind to the devastation surrounding you? Then God is calling you to wake up and engage the desperate cry if really you need his attention.

Reflection: To get testimonies that will outlive you, desperation in the place of prayer is a sine qua non.
