Commit to Memory: “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” (Psalms 102:13 KJV)

When mercy is involved in a situation, judgement is laid aside (James 2:13), when the mercy of God is either asked or cried for- every helpless and hopeless situation is sorted and settled (Mark 10:46-52). I pray more than ever before may the mercy of God speak in your favour today.  

David is an epitome of someone in the bible who experienced the mercy of God (2 Samuel 24:14) and proclaimed the mercies of God (Psalm 119:156). He then further stated that God shows mercy in multitudes (Nehemiah 9:17; Psalm 51:1). See what Lamentation 3:22 says about the mercy of the Lord:

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

But then there are certain traits that make the voice of mercy to speak in the life of a man. Among many things is that; any time God finds a man who is full of Godly fear, a lover of his ways and a keeper of His commandments- His mercy is attracted to such an individual (Exodus 20:6; Luke 1:50; Psalm 103:17-18). When you begin to show mercy to others what you are actually saying is that Lord, I have showed your nature of mercy to others- therefore cause me to obtain your mercy (Matt.5:7, Luke 6:35).

Beloved, forgiving and forgetting the wrong doings of others leaves God with no option than to extend you His mercy (Matt 18:25-27; Psalm 2:10). Also confessing and forsaking your sins attracts God’s mercies in your direction (Proverbs 28:13; Psalm 51:1). Another way would be staying meek and humble (Luke 18:10 -14; James 4:6-10). For a user of this inspiration, may His mercies flow to you like a river today that you begin to have results efforts cannot match.

Reflection: Any time you show mercy to others by actions expressed by kindness what you are actually doing is that you are attracting the sure mercies of David to speak for you.

Prayer Lines

•Father, the results efforts cannot match supply your mercy and manifest in my life.

•Father, today show me your mercy in every area of my life.
