Commit to Memory: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]” (Matthew 11:28 AMPC).
There is a need far above wine, hard drugs, food, clothing, luxurious shelter, beauty, pleasure, women, gold, diamond, exotic cars, money, power, skills and material possessions. There is a need man must seek before he is no more, there is a need for the soul unclean, there is the need called Jesus- The need of the hour to all who are heavy laden, sorrowful, periled, pained, wearied, confused, panicking, fearful, indebted, hungry, thirsty, homeless, helpless and hopeless. Little wonder the hymn writer sang I need thee every hour.
The need of the hour is an army of soldiers dedicated to Jesus Christ, who believe that he is Lord and coming back for the Church triumphant, that he can fulfill every promise he ever made, and that nothing is too hard for him. This is the only way we can accomplish what is on God’s heart-getting the gospel to every creature.
Jesus is the answer before the world began, He’s the reason why we live, the very air we breathe, the way and the only true door to the Father, beautiful beyond description so that He can be beautiful for every situation that man faces, the joy of the whole world so Friends we owe him everything. Why? Once you become born again we owe Him. You owe him your peace of mind, you owe him your joy, you owe him your strength, you owe him your salvation, you owe him your sanctification, you owe him your power that he supplies, you owe him your freedom, you owe him your blessings and provisions, you owe him the answers to your prayers and you owe Jesus the way to heaven because we owe him everything and all things are created for His pleasure (Rev.4:11). In Matt.28:18-20,Jesus said;
“…All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore …”
This is not only a privilege; it’s an order. “Go ye into all the world.” God doesn’t want you to take an island, hamlet, your family members only or a village- He wants you to take the world. Jesus said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” No man ever followed Jesus who didn’t become a fisher of men. If you aren’t fishing, you aren’t following. So friends, seek Jesus today and He shall supply your deepest needs.
Reflection: The Deepest need of the Father is that you be reconciled with Him. Embrace Jesus today.
