Commit to Memory: “Reuben, you are my firstborn, my strength, the child of my vigorous youth. You are first in rank and first in power. But you are as unruly as a flood, and you will be first no longer. For you went to bed with my wife; you defiled my marriage couch.” (Genesis 49:3-4 NLT)
Life outside Christ in all sincerity is not fair, else how can a person who has nothing to do with whatever predicament that happened in his or her lineage be a victim of bloodline curses? This was exactly what happened to the Reubenites- the descendants of Reuben. Why? There is always a cause to every curse that affects a man. Little wonder Proverbs 26:2 NLT says:
“Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim.”
Curses are evil or negative pronouncements against a person, people, town, city or even a nation. Curses summons the power of darkness to work against the prosperity and breakthroughs of people. Bloodline curses are spells cast on an individual to ensure he or she never succeeds. This explains why you labour so hard and give your best to everything your hand find doing yet, your results are ridiculous and not commensurate to your efforts, skill set and even your passion to get things done.
Many people are suffering today as a result of the type of bloodline they took their biological root from. They are born into a cursed family. It is for this reason God said to Abraham to leave his father’s house. In other words, God was saying Abraham if you must fulfill your destiny in me: leave the place of idolatry which is a norm in your father’s house which can ill affect you. Had Abraham argue and disobeyed, he would have missed the blessing and the fulfillment of all heaven had in stock for him and his seeds.
Beloved, do you desire to break away from every bloodline curse that affected your parents and even your siblings? Then give your life to Jesus and begin to enforce your victory in the finished works of Christ at cavalry.
Reflection: Your bloodline is your foundation. If you don’t deal with it, soon it will seal your victory and bring you down.
Prayer Lines: Father, every curse placed upon my life and bloodline; turn it to a blessing for my advantage.
