The Rain of Testimonies

Commit to Memory: “Come and hear, all who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul”. (Psalm 66:16 ESV)

God’s design for the lifting of his children is characterized by the Rain of Testimonies. However, there are testimonies and there are testimonies. Every testimony begins with a test that takes you to the promise- that is how God operates. It is for this reason the word of God says that after you have suffered a while, I mean after all the tests and trials, He will settle you. How? He will cause you to experience the rain of testimonies (1Peter 5:10). This is so because it is in your faith and patience that God’s promises for your life is activated (Heb. 6:12)

The rain of testimony is God’s system of reward to his faithfuls. Are you faithful? Do you fear the Lord? This is evident when the answers to your prayers begin to arrive in quick succession and all of a sudden you forget you were once bitter, once weighed down with regrets or once barren and unproductive and so the Refuge from the storm will all of a sudden show up for your lifting. See what David said in Psalm 71:15-18 NLT

“I will tell everyone about your righteousness. All day long I will proclaim your saving power, though I am not skilled with words. I will praise your mighty deeds, O Sovereign Lord. I will tell everyone that you alone are just. O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do …Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.”

Beloved, do you know that the little and tinniest things that bothers and concerns you also bothers and concerns God. It is for this reason God does not satisfy greed but supplies every need (Philip.4:19). As the Lord lives, for a user of this inspiration your need will call forth the attention of God to satisfy and meet them in the name of Jesus. Once the promise is ripe, your testimonies will fall like the rain.

Listen , it’s not over yet; don’t look back, don’t give up, only look up and you will go forward. In this season as you make up your mind to fear the Lord as captured in today’s commit to memory, may your mouth be full of testimonies.

Reflection: If you have something to look forward to, but listen to contrary distractions on the right and left- you will look back. Stay on course…

Prayer Lines

•Father, give me testimonies that will make me forget my seasons of waiting.

•Father, let your latter rain touch the little and biggest needs in my life.
