Commit to Memory: “…Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” (Ephesians 5:14 KJV)

Many lives are impoverished today for carelessly sleeping at odd moments in their lives. What is it that you are doing and have continually engaged yourself that has made you consistently sleep without any caution? Watch out! The sleeping state is a very helpless state as many lives and destinies have been captured, crippled and destroyed. For this reason many are afflicted because of this unconscious state of uncertainty. What kind of sleep is the Lord telling us to beware and avoid to sleep?

The first we will be looking at today and build on is the Sleep of Lust. The Sleep of lust has destroyed many homes and marriages- Christian Homes not left out. What and who is that stranger that has taken your heart away from the woman or man you once loved and married? Friends, you need to watch it. You need to flee, you need to cry to the Lord for help- You need to wake up from the sleep of Lust. What lust? Lust to strange women, lust for material possessions at all cost and by all means notwithstanding you endangering your soul, lust to the cravings of the eyes, flesh and pleasures at the expense of your soul.

I usually say one reason why most car owners usually have bashes on the surfaces of their cars or bash other vehicles with several head on, side or rear end collisions is because while driving instead of concentrating they are busy looking and distracted by lusting after strange women who they are staring at on the right and left and so they end up colliding with one vehicle or the other. As the Lord lives, whatever is distracting your gaze to lust, the Lord will deliver you in Jesus name.

Reflection: Those who lust after things or women will soon be lost and culpable beyond repair…
