Arise and Build

Commit to Memory: “And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good, and also of the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for the good work.” (Nehemiah 2:18 ESV).

The Lord takes pleasure in the building of whatsoever the enemy has destroyed in the lives of His children. For this reason, Jesus is a Destroyer, however, a destroyer of the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).

Friends, when God says arise, He is saying to you: Wake up! Stand up! Get serious! Make up you mind, get out of your bed in the midst of worrisome, simile ugly situations and circumstances that has hitherto clouded you roundabout. And then when He says build, He’s actually saying elevate, rise, lift up a standard, fabricate, construct, make head way, become stronger, empowered and strengthen what was feeble.

So we see that the Almighty God is in a diligent search for those who wants to Arise and Build for Him to prosper and bless. But then, why is it important to God that you should Arise and Build even in times like these? Every man will fall, falter and fail God when encounters in their secret place is missing in their Christian walk and work with God; the world is in need for revival, souls are daily perishing and the devil is having his party and way in the lives of even the Saints; the word of God has been made of no effect etc. The Lord is in need of intercessors that will build his church. Friends, God need you to silence the activities of darkness that’s within and around your territory and to gain mastery over them, be and remain victorious and be built up. Job 22:23 says,

“If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles”

Beloved, do you desire to be built and marvelously helped by God, then you must have a strong resolve to commit yourself fully to the work of building men. Today, the work the Lord wants us to do is not just that of building churches or facilities but to build up the lives of people spiritually. It was recorded of Jesus that “all men sought for Him” (Mark 1:37). Why? Because He was a builder of men as He just left a mark and made every life He encountered better than he met them.

Reflection: Your assignment for discernment as a Believer is not just to build physical edifices, facilities or churches but to build lives spiritually. Start building men.

Prayer Lines: Father, build me up more and more that I may be a builder of men.
