Divine Presence for Prosperity

Commit to Memory: “And the Lord was with Joseph and he was a prosperous man. He was in the house of his master the Egyptian and the Lord was with him. That which he did, the Lord made it to prosper.” (Genesis 39:2, 23)

One of the merits of Divine presence is that it makes everything you do or say to prosper and causes you to prosper everywhere you go. Why? God’s presence is the very essence of our being that was why Isaac said of Jacob in Genesis 27:27 (emphasis mine).

“And he (Jacob) came near and kissed him (Isaac) and he (Isaac) smelled the smell of his (Jacob’s) raiment and blessed him (Jacob) and said, see the smell of my son (Jacob) is as the smell of a field which the Lord has blessed (divine presence).

So we see that it’s the aura (God’s presence) in our lives that smears on us His blessings as we see in the life of Jacob.

Friends, one of the greatest privileges you can have and enjoy as a believer is to have His presence tabernacle in your life. Why? When your eyes are opened to God’s presence in your life, His love will capture your heart. So here comes the question, how can you become an envoy of His presence? How do you become a carrier of the manifold presence of God on the inside of you? One way to activate this will be to develop an attitude of seeking the Lord with all your heart- for only those that seek Him with all their heart will find Him (Jer. 29:13)

God’s presence has a way of making you attracted to and for favour. Beloved, there is the presence of God that guarantees your prosperity as relayed in today’s commit to memory; “And the Lord was with Joseph and He prospered him in whatsoever he did.” This means that the ultimate and unadulterated recipe for prosperity that is devoid of sorrow and radiates peace, joy and celebration is rooted in a life that is overflowing with the presence of God. When the Lord is with you, when His Emmanuel presence is resident in and with you (Matt. 18:20), He will begin to show you mercy and favour before men. Little wonder Genesis 39:21 says;

“But the Lord was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

For a user of this inspiration, beginning from today, wherever you go, may your life attract favour and mercy before God and great men.

Reflection: There is no brightness without light, and there is no life without God’s presence! Seek His presence today.
