Deal with that Anger

Commit to Memory: “They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes: Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.” (Psalms 106:32-33 KJV)

Anger is a beast that awaits to destroy the day of your coronation. It’s that demon that appears to spoil your joy and turn it to sorrow. It is carefully orchestrated by the devil to come alive and destroy your destiny. When aroused, it will make sour your destiny. It was anger that made Jacob curse the wrath of Simeon and Levi as they were passionate and revengeful. How?  They murdered the Shechemites in their rage which Jacob protested against as a barbarous act. Anger is a terrible disaster that has the potential of undoing your destiny. If you’re thinking, “Who, me, angry? I’m a Christian. I don’t get angry,” then you probably have a more serious anger problem than those who readily admit. And so you need to give it attention today, work on it- deal with that anger today.

Beloved, do you struggle with anger? Let love lead your actions, quit making hasty decisions in the flesh, coordinate your thought line and your actions will be controlled, walk away when provoked from the scene or toxic environment that fuels your anger, learn to be silent in the face of provocation,  any time anger wants to be unleashed as a beast in you; say to yourself I refuse to be a fool for anger lies in the bosom of fools, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, I have the wisdom of God functioning in me, I may be angry but I sin not, I have a sound mind, God has not given me the spirit of wrath but of love, power and a sound man. Ephesians 4: 26 – 27 (NLT) says:

“And don’t sin by letting anger gain control over you. Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a mighty foothold to the devil.”

The Bible says the Israelites provoked Moses to anger at the waters of strife so that it went ill with Moses for their sake such that he began to speak unadvisedly with his lips. What is it that is arousing your wrath, what is it that you hear that makes you speak foolishly and full of anger such that at such moment your words are full of venom and you end up regretting your attitude in such ugly moments, be wise and turn a new leaf today.

Reflection: Learn to control your anger before it controls and damage your life.
