He will Save You-Part 2

Commit to Memory: “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.”  (Exodus 14:13 KJV).

The storyline of our commit to memory today portrays the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and because they had trusted the Lord- He proved Himself Mighty to save them in the midst of their crossed road and deepest fears. They had been covered by the blood of the Passover Lamb and escaped the angel of death through believing His word- they had also been set free from the bondage of slavery, by grace through faith. As the Lord lives, may He prove Himself Strong on your behalf in Jesus name.

But then, having made their journey from Egypt where they experienced all manner of affliction and oppression, after the finger of God that made pharaoh to suddenly permit their exodus- the children of Israel suddenly found themselves troubled on every side. Their greatest enemy was closing in from the rear, the impenetrable mountainous heights towered to the right and to the left and the deep waters of the Red Sea abruptly halted their forward march to liberty they were looking up to. It was a crossed road and indeed a terrible experience as we see in Exodus 14:12 MSG

“As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and saw them-Egyptians! Coming at them! They were totally afraid. They cried out in terror to GOD. They told Moses, “Weren’t the cemeteries large enough in Egypt so that you had to take us out here in the wilderness to die? What have you done to us, taking us out of Egypt? Back in Egypt didn’t we tell you this would happen? Didn’t we tell you, ‘Leave us alone here in Egypt-we’re better off as slaves in Egypt than as corpses in the wilderness.”

So we need to learn that no matter what enemies are pursuing us – the Lord is mighty to save, no matter what difficult circumstance or ugly situation we may face- always be abreast that God is your strength and stay.. a very present help in time of trouble.. our glory and lifter up of our heads. He has promised to be with us no matter what trials and temptations may confront us. And so he says to you today, do not fear; quit worrying I WILL SAVE YOU.

But through it all, the Lord proved that He was the Refuge from the storm and Mighty to save and deliver them all and so He made a way where there seemed to be no way right there in the midst of the sea. Friends, the Father cares, He’s been good. He wants us against all odds to depend on him especially in times like this. As you look up to him may He make a way for you today such that whatever is a symbol of Egypt in your life will fade away in Jesus name.

Reflection: Whenever and wherever you leave God out of the equation of your life and try to address life’s issues, you will make a shipwreck of your destiny.

Prayer Lines: Father, in every area of my life, show yourself strong and mighty on my behalf.
