He will Save You

Commit to Memory: “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.” (Isaiah 35:4 KJV)

Friends, one way God shows His ability is by the expression of His thoughts and the speaking of His word. The message version puts today’s commit to memory this way: “Tell fearful souls, Courage! Take heart! God is here, right here, on his way to put things right and redress all wrongs. He’s on his way! He’ll save you!”

Jesus paid the ultimate price of death for the salvation of humanity and the truth is that once you make up your mind to receive Him, you will begin to experience the dividends of the finished work of Christ even in your life. And so He can move all mountains because he is before all things; for before the mountains were brought forth, even before the creation of the earth and world, from everlasting to everlasting, He is God (Psalm 90:2).

Are you weighed down? Are you fearful hearted? Does it seem everything about and around you are crumbling? Are you desperate in need of help such that if God doesn’t show up- you may never be able to recover from the loss you will suffer? Have you concluded that there is no help for you in God? The Lord will have me tell you this day I need to save you from your terrible self, I need to save you from the ugly things resident in you that could destroy your life of which you are capable of doing but opportunity is yet to present to you.

God wants to save you so you can serve Him and be His messenger. Just as there is no such thing as a non-functioning member of your human body, so there ought to be no such thing as a non-functioning member of the body of Christ. If God has saved you from your sin, He has called you to serve Him in some way in accordance with your gifts and abilities.

Reflection: Whose cost will you bear today that someone might be free tomorrow?
