Commit to Memory: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
God is ever working in our lives when we stay consistent in the engaging of our hearts to approach him in prayer and the word. You want to get God’s attention then be consistent in doing the things that gladdens His heart and will make Him show you His face. Stay consistent to doing the things that bring Him glory. Is God’s heart desire a priority to you? If we don’t spend time tuning our hearts to His voice, we will miss when He speaks. Do you want to get wiser, deeper in love and remain closer to God? Then be consistent in your Christian walk with God.
Consistency is a sacrifice and the key to building healthy relationships in our everyday lives and even our spiritual lives. Consistency in our time with God starts with simple changes, but those simple changes can make a great impact as against popular opinion.
Beloved, create quality time to be alone with God in the order of Jacob. Set aside a time to spend with God every day without distractions and soon it will become an addiction programmed into your subconscious mind you easily and effortlessly follow by default. This is the place commitment starts and consistency is borne causing your roots to go deep and firm. James 1:17 AMP says
“Every good thing and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].”
Are you as close to God as you want to be? Are you as far from God as the heaven is from the earth? Are you consistent in your relationship with Him? If not, give more passion and focus to the things that matters, stay committed and compliant to spending quality time in God’s Word and in His presence on a regular basis. Consistency leads to your habits which form the actions you take every day and your actions is what gravitates you to success. Time is the Revealer of things for whatever you stay true to, whatever you give time and commitment, I mean whatever you set your heart, energy and resources to do consistently, time will reveal your results.
Reflection: When we pay the price of consistency in our relationship with God, we not only draw virtues from Him but we will begin to see His hand and face in our lives.
Prayer Lines: Father, strengthen me, cause me to draw nearer and stay deeply rooted in my relationship with you.
